Refunds & No Return Policy

Effective Date: April 5, 2025

This Refund and No Return Policy (“Policy”) governs all purchases made from Buddy Scoops Ice Cream (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), whether in-store or through our website or online ordering platform.

By purchasing products from Buddy Scoops Ice Cream, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

1. All Sales Are Final

Due to the perishable and consumable nature of our products, all sales are final.

We do not accept returns of any food, beverage, frozen dessert, or perishable item once it has been prepared, served, or has left our premises.

This policy applies to, but is not limited to:

  • Ice cream

  • Milkshakes

  • Frozen beverages

  • Fountain drinks

  • Sorbet

  • Floats

  • Frozen lemonade

  • Any other prepared food or beverage product

2. No Exchanges

For health, safety, and sanitation reasons, we do not offer exchanges on any consumable item.

Once a product has been prepared or handed to the customer, it cannot be returned, resold, or redistributed.

3. Order Accuracy and Corrections

Customers are responsible for reviewing their order at the time of pickup or receipt.

If an error is made by the Company in fulfilling an order, the issue must be reported immediately and before the product is consumed. If verified, we may, at our sole discretion:

  • Remake the item

  • Issue a store credit

  • Provide a refund for the specific incorrect item

No adjustments will be made once a product has been partially or fully consumed, except in cases of verified product defect.

4. Product Satisfaction

We strive to provide high-quality products and service. However, individual taste preferences do not qualify for refunds or replacements.

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Dislike of flavor

  • Change of mind

  • Ordering the wrong item

  • Failure to read product descriptions

  • Texture preferences

  • Melting due to delayed pickup or improper storage

5. Allergies and Dietary Restrictions

Customers are responsible for reviewing ingredient information and communicating any allergies prior to ordering.

We do not guarantee allergen-free products. Refunds will not be issued due to allergic reactions or ingredient sensitivities when ingredients were properly disclosed or reasonably assumed based on the product.

6. Online Orders and Pickup

Customers are responsible for:

  • Selecting the correct items

  • Choosing the correct pickup time

  • Arriving promptly for pickup

We are not responsible for product quality issues resulting from delayed pickup or improper storage after release to the customer.

Orders not picked up within a reasonable time frame may be discarded for food safety reasons. Refunds will not be issued for abandoned or late pickups.

7. Gift Cards

Gift cards are non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash except as required by North Carolina law.

Lost, stolen, or damaged gift cards will not be replaced.

8. Store Credit

Any store credit issued is granted solely at the discretion of Buddy Scoops Ice Cream and:

  • Has no cash value

  • May not be transferred

  • May be subject to expiration if permitted by law

9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting the Company to resolve an issue may result in denial of future service.

We reserve the right to dispute any unjustified chargeback and provide documentation to the payment processor supporting the validity of the transaction.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buddy Scoops Ice Cream shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from dissatisfaction, order errors not reported immediately, or product misuse after purchase.

Any approved refund shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific item in question.

11. Policy Modifications

We reserve the right to modify this Refund and No Return Policy at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website with a revised effective date.

Continued purchases constitute acceptance of the updated policy.
